I come to my communications work as a translator—I take complex topics and turn them into narrative stories for everyone. Whether it's covering campus resiliency or Coachella dance moves, I love to craft stories and strategies that invite everyone to engage with a topic no matter how complex or how niche.
I've been working in communications for more than 15 years, supporting organizations through news articles, reports, social media, video, podcasts, and pretty much any format you can think of to connect with and engage audiences. I've spent more than a decade in higher education and have unique insight into local politics and government having served two terms as a city councilor.
My specialities are climate, sustainability, research, and alumni engagement, but I love to craft communications on just about every topic. Every piece of content is a chance for me to learn something new and share that with an audience to drive engagement, giving, knowledge or whatever your goal is.
